Where do you go on a saturday night in melbourne with entertainment for over 40s that is classy and intimate?

I am looking for a venue where it has entertainment and music, and would like the place to be of a cosy and intimate atmosphere. We always struggle to find a place to go and we are sick of the city. even a place a bit further out is ok. any suggestions.
