Does my mother have mental health issues?

I think my mother has some kind of mental disorder akin to depression because she started walking around the house and she gave off a tense, unbalanced vibe, concentrating, honing in on the rooms of the house, she looked in a state of distress (our house is cluttered but cosy) and then she started threatening to walk out if my father didn't start organising his dvd collection. I said something really harmless and normal, and she started to get even more agitated and angry like she might do something rash or walk out on us.
